Learning Institute launch internship

Impact Hub MSP is a community building co-working and training organization dedicated to building strong social enterprises in the Twin Cities. Its new Learning Institute for Social Entrepreneurs will launch this summer with a pilot test in July and August. The intern will support a small team of staff and volunteers to launch this unique set of training session for those who want to learn skills and tools to enhance their venture’s success. The institute is being designed this spring and a pilot test is planned for mid-summer. The sessions will be either half or full days that can stand alone or be combined for more intense learning. The intern will help to manage the following parts of the process. More specific assignments will be determined once the intern begins and the launch plan is finished in early June.

• development and implementation of marketing and promotion materials,
• logistics for each session including registrations, materials organization, food ordering and room set-up and cleanup
• gathering and first analysis of attendee surveys

In addition, the intern will cover the host staff role for 2 hours each day including sitting at the front desk, greeting members, making coffee and other physical space maintenance related duties as assigned.

Hours will be Mon-Thurs 9-5 and Fridays 9-12.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Rising sophomore, junior or senior with strong academic record evidenced by unofficial transcript
• Previous experience in writing professional content for social media
• Strong research and analytical abilities, ability to extend knowledge and skills to the topic at hand and to conceptualize and frame relevant questions
• Evidence of effectiveness working on a team while assuming responsibility to complete all assignments in a timely manner
• Prior experience in organizing training or education series, such as student club operations and training, assistance to a professor, or other educational series management
. • Outgoing with ability to interact well with all kinds of people
