Project Manager

Founded in 2018, Wondrous Crane is a ceramic pottery business based in Wayzata, Minnesota. Wondrous Crane sells pottery all across the Twin Cities between dozens of events, fairs, storefronts, wholesale accounts and online stores.

Position:
-Social media marketing and branding (taking photos, videos, writing captions, and posting on Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok) I also have a podcast for Wondrous Crane so if that is something the intern is interested in then they can help me with editing and production.
-Art Fair set up, sales, and take down. My summer schedule is pretty booked with art fairs (Edina Art Fair, Wayzata Art Experience, Art on the Lake in Excelsior, Stone Arch Bridge Festival, Minnehaha Art Fair, Uptown Art Fair). Intern will be able to see first hand how to apply, set up, sell their work, and take down for art fairs.
-Packing orders and keeping track of inventory in person, online, and supplies.
-Responding to emails and customer inquiries.
-Candle Making and ordering supplies.
-Web Design & SEO.
 
Potential Projects:
-If a ceramics specific student then I would love assistance with throwing, creating glazes, firing, pricing work, and unloading kilns.
-Interview with other artists and creatives for the Wondrous Crane Podcast.
-Research and apply to grants.
-Interact with clients and meet other artists, creatives, and small business owners.
 
Virtual or In-person?
Hybrid and flexible.

Qualifications:
·      Sophomore, Junior or Senior
·      Evidence of effectiveness in working independently, demonstrated self-starter
·      Strong communication skills -- oral and written
·      Strong research and analytical abilities (grant writing, social media creation, and website SEO)
·      Ability to interact with people from diverse backgrounds (and/or specific populations)
·      Ability to learn quickly
·      Previous experience with social media
·      Coursework in the following areas: encouraged but not required: Studio Art, Marketing, Management Studies.
·      Interest in art entrepreneurship, marketing, and social media management
·      Social Media editing, producing, and posting for Instagram, Tiktok, and Facebook.
·      Preferred but not required if you have knowledge on SEO and website design
·      Preferred but not required if you have ceramics throwing and studio management skills.
Internship Dates and Hours per Week:
June 5 – August 11 (10 weeks) 30 hours a week. (5 days a week, 6 hour days) hours and dates are flexible.
